Contemporary office space is key to the scheme. It will help provide regular footfall in a newly imagined business district.

Workplaces are being transformed by the demands of a younger workforce. Heart of the City II will provide modern and flexible working environments that offer coworking opportunities and break out spaces.

The new business district will be a meeting place and a forum for debate and collaboration. It will be where Sheffield meets to be inspired and spark creativity.

The first building to be completed as part of Heart of the City II is Grosvenor House – the new 160,000 sq ft office built for HSBC.

Additional office space is also being brought forward with real intent as part of the wider masterplan. This includes Isaacs Building (within Block C) and Athol House (within Block B), which are both currently under construction. Both buildings will retain the attractive Victorian façades fronting Pinstone Street, and combined, will deliver 37,000 sq ft of Grade A office space and quirky collaboration workspaces.

As part of Block G, property management specialists Staton Young has been selected by the Council as operators for the vacant office building at 38 Carver Street.

A planning application has now been submitted for 38 Carver Street to transform the glass-fronted building into Cubo – a new style of serviced offices. The plans expand the existing workspace from 26,000 to 32,000 sq ft.
